Mr. Pohlmann already focused on orthopaedic issues during his training as a physiotherapist. He remained true to this interest during his subsequent medical studies and then completed his training as a specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery.
Most recently, he worked for several years in the Department of Sports Medicine at Charité Berlin, where he looked after both amateur and elite athletes, including the youth soccer teams of Union Berlin.
For Mr. Pohlmann, every successful therapy begins with a thorough interview and examination. Once the diagnosis has been made, supported by the various imaging options if necessary, an individually tailored treatment plan is drawn up. Mr. Pohlmann’s range of treatments covers the broad spectrum of conservative orthopaedic therapy, including chirotherapy, acupuncture and targeted injection therapy for all joints, including the spine. If conservative therapy reaches its limits, it is possible to carry out minor joint surgery as well as surgical treatment of hand-specific problems, such as annular ligament stenosis or carpal tunnel syndrome.
Mr. Jan Pohlmann has been part of the medical team at ORTHO EINS Praxis Dr. Topar since mid-2023.
